To become a Chartered Accountant after 10+2 you need to be very consistent towards your goal then only you can clear all the groups of Chartered Accountancy Course and become a successful Chartered Accountant.
How to become a Chartered Accountant after 12th
To become a Chartered Accountant after 10+2 first you need to register yourself in CA Foundation Course.
You can register in CA Foundation Course after 10+2. If your result of 10+2 is awaiting then also you can register in CA Foundation Course.
You need to complete minimum 4 months of study period to appear in CA Foundation Exam.
Means if you register on or before 31st December then you can appear in May CA Foundation exam and if you register on or before 31st June then you can appear in November CA Foundation Exam.
Eligibility for CA Foundation Course
To apply for CA Foundation Course you need to pass 10+2 exam or you can register even if your result of 10+2 exam is awaited.
Student from science, commerce or arts or any other stream can apply for CA Foundation Course.
There is no such age bar or percentage marks are required to register in CA Foundation Course. You can apply at any age and any percentage marks.
CA Foundation Exam
CA Foundation Exam is conducted 2 times in a year (May & November). After registering yourself in CA Foundation Course you need to fill examination form of CA Foundation.
CA Foundation Exam Form is generally notified on ICAI website 3 months before exam.
After successfully passing CA Foundation Examination you need to register yourself in CA Intermediate course.
Appear in Intermediate Examination on completion of 8 months of study course as on first day of the month in which the examination is to be held.
Undergo Four Weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft skills (ICITSS) consisting of Courses on Information Technology and Orientation Course at the earliest but these are to be completed compulsorily before commencement of their articleship.
ICITSS Course is an IT training programme and personality development programme where you will be taught multiple things in computer and personality development.
After completion of ICITSS course you can apply for CA Intermediate examination.
Join articleship after passing one or both group of CA Intermediate exam.
Articleship must be under a C.A. in practice and you can choose a CA firm according to your choice.
Clear the balance Group (if any) of Intermediate Examination.
Register for Final Course.
Successfully undergo Four Weeks Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft skills (AICITSS) consisting of Courses on Advanced Information Technology and Management Communication Skills during the last two years of practical training but before appearing in the Final Examination.
Appear in the Final Examination on completion of the practical training or whileserving last 6 months of articled training on or before the last day of the month preceding the month in which the examination is to be held after successful completion of AICITSS.
Complete articled training of 3 years.
Pass Final Examination.
Enrol as a member of the ICAI and be designated as “Chartered Accountant”
